Anyway, I have this idea...Baby Aiden Foundation!
Not sure of all the details but just thoughts on paper for now. Not sure how to make it a reality.
Baby Aiden Foundation - Purpose
To provide non-emergency transportation services to high risk expectant mothers. Our experience could have been much different if we didn't have the means and resources to get prompt attention. I'm sure there are many expectant mothers who don't have the support and transportation to get the care they need. We are fortunate.
Non-profit, a network of volunteers to offer on-demand transportation. Picturing reliable cars with body wraps displaying logos and sponsors. Call me crazy but creating awareness about rare, high-risk issues like this seems important. I can't imagine our experience if I wasn't available to get Stacey to the hospital quickly. Seems like more should be done to ensure the health of unborn children. Providing basic transportation services seems like a good place to start. Educational seminars would be nice, too. Simple things but significant.
Anyway, just sharing and thinking out loud.
In the mean time, I have asked our good friend Nicole to make some car magnets that read, "Pray for Baby Aiden Jones" and to include the blog link. I am also putting baby blue ribbons on our car antennas. May seem silly but this is an opportunity for me to be an advocate for my son and raise awareness. Every additional prayer I can elicit will strengthen the foundation of Aiden's recovery.
