Aiden weighed in @ 4lbs 9 oz tonight. Steady gain.
Bumping his bottle feeds from every 3rd feed to every other.
Nurse practitioner called today and said if he can maintain the same consumption but increase frequency without any issues, he should be able to come home soon. Said his feeds are the only thing keeping him at the hospital. Docs have decided the Brady attacks can be managed by sending Aiden home with a monitor.
We'll be trained in CPR and how to respond to the information the monitor provides. I think we'll need 3 alarms total. One for Aiden, one for Mom, and one for me. I'm sure when Aiden's alarm goes off mine will too (heart attack). That will cause Mom's to go off (panic attack/anxiety). Maybe we should install some external sirens and train the neighbors to be first responders?
Aiden drank a full bottle tonight for Mom. 40ml's. He was slow but he did it.
Aiden had his first Triple Double! Pooped three times in 1 change for me last night. Pooped 2 times in one change for Mom tonight. Hopefully he will be down to 1 diaper for every change starting tomorrow. If so, I'll be convinced he's just showing us how smart he is. He's just showing us he already knows how to count down. Must be practice for his homecoming!
Aiden had the same nurse tonight that was there last night. Asked Mom if she saw any Grandma Jones in her. Cut me off and said "oh yeah!" before I could finish the question. (Love you Grandma!)
Amazing how far this journey has brought us. Many prayers answered. Many more to come. Many people to thank.
Thank you!
