Yesterday, Aiden had his 2nd hearing test. He was a great patient! Slept through almost the entire thing, which is what they wanted.
His 1st hearing test showed that his right ear was able to hear some low tones. Unfortunately, this time around his right showed to be worse and did not pick up hardly anything at all.
His left ear was able to pick up extremely HIGH tones, but it was very delayed.
The audioloigist gave a lot of "could be's" It could be this...It could be that...
As a realistic mom... I just want doctors to spill it and give it to me straight and leave the could be's out. We can always pray for the could be's, but we need to know in order to make preparations for him and ourselves.
The next step is for Aiden to go to see a pediatric Ear/Nose/Throat specialist which is next Wednesday. He also has a recheck with his cardiologist next Wednesday as well.
After being examined by the ENT, Aiden will be referred to a children's hospital that is Central Florida's prime location for helping children with ANY type of special needs. They will do another battery of hearing tests and will go from there!
