What started as a day w/ 2 appt's became 4 appt's and lots of hustlin.
Appt #1: Work-in appt @ pediatrician's office for fever since last Friday when he got his 1st round of immunizations. Ran a cath to obtain a urine sample for urinalysis. Made Dad leave the room and go upstairs until they finished. All that for just a few drops? Couldn't get enough for urinalysyis but did get enough for a urine culture.
Checking for kidney function and possible urinary tract infection that could be causing his fevers.
Appt #2: Traveled to Cynergist's office in Winter Park for RSV shot. Appt. was cancelled due to insurance oops but was rescheduled for later today after resolution. Recommended no daycare until end of April when RSV season is expected to end. Provided some information for medical daycare facilities. Recommended that if we have to do daycare, we use a medical facility b/c they have advanced training and experience with apnea monitors, etc. We have some homework to do.
Appt #3: Off to Orlando for follow-up appt with doc who performed hernia surgery. Everything looks great! Can give normal baths now.
Appt #4: Went to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando to get Aiden's blood drawn. Checking all his counts to see if there's anything else that might be causing his fevers.
Aiden finally seemed to have enough for one day. Rectal temp, cath, shot in leg, and arm prick for blood sample.
"Home Daddy! No more poking!"
Follow-up appt. w/ pediatrician on Feb. 5th.
Aiden's true (naked) weight today was 6 lbs 11.5 oz's.
