Aiden went for another hearing test@ 8am today. Both sides failed.
Three different hearing tests were done today. The main one lasted quite awhile, it measured what the brain "hears."
Results:
Left ear has virtually no positive response.
Right side has very limited positive response.
Today’s results suggest he may have some limited hearing ability on his right side, maybe only select tones. Left side, maybe none at all. Too early to know if hearing aids or surgery will help.
The auditory specialist was surprised there’s no history of congenital hearing loss/deafness in the family. (That alone seems pretty telling). Results are being forwarded to his geneticist to add to his case.
Action: Next test will be Feb 19th then if needed he’ll be referred to Arnold Palmer.
