Aiden's bilateral hernia surgery went well. Scheduled for 8:30 and only ran a little behind. Had to be there at 6:30 so we had a long day.
Surgery was finished around 9:30 but we didn't see him until about 12:40 when they moved him from recovery to his own room. Another 45 minutes to get him situated, transferred to a regular crib, weighed, vitals, etc. It was 1:30 before we had him to ourselves.
His naked weight today was 6 lbs 8 oz. Slow progress, but progress none the less.
He was well rested this morning before surgery. Awake, alert, calm, and content. Post op...sleep, sleep, sleep, and more sleep. 'Till 7pm, he was only awake 1 or 2 times for maybe 10 minutes. He woke a few more times just long enough sip some sugar water and zonked back out. Didn't seem to be in any pain or uncomfortable.
He'll spend at least 1 night in the hospital for observation. Mom's with him.
He had sveral bradycardia's and they lasted longer than usual. He had more today than he's had in the last week. A little concerning but he's in the right place at Arnold Palmer. If docs are satisfied with his progress overnight, he should be released sometime tomorrow. If not, another night at the hospital.
Will post pics of him in the days ahead.
Baby shower planned this weekend in Kissimmee. Sunday 3-5pm. If interested in attending, contact us for directions.
Thanks for the well-wishes and prayers.
