Forgot the camera last night so no new pics of Aiden available.
1st 2 pics are of a baby blanket and 3rd pick is the front of prayer shirts for Aiden.
Met a nice family whose grandchild is in NICU. Please keep this family and the baby in your thoughts and prayers. Born very premature and has been in since Sept (I think this is right). I think we helped provide them with encouragement and fresh energy last night. They need support and prayer. Let's give it to them. I also offered to set up a blog for them. If you're reading this, contact me.
Very exciting developments for Aiden. Check this out...
Down to 1800 grams - just under 4 lbs and right where he should be. Looks fantastic!
Head and rest of body has lost almost all excess fluids. Still some in chest but much better.
Down to one chest tube which may be removed in next two days if his condition remains the same or improves.
Aiden may get the ventilator removed in the next few days as well. He's active and awnry. Doc that saw him first day of life is amazed that in just 6 days Aiden has progressed so far. Keep the prayers coming!
Aiden got his first hair cut. Yes, we brought the hair home. Might post a pic later. Had to put a PIC needle in Aiden's head last night. This goes to his artery/heart area and is a long term medication/IV fluid solution. Larger doses can also be applied directly to Aiden through this PIC needle. Other entry points only good for a brief time. This one can stay for months and Aiden will experience fewer needle pricks, etc.
