Aiden's oxygen levels have been up & down all day. Norm is set @ 95 but dropping to low 60's off/on. Still not a bad number for most premi's but not where the nurses want Aiden's level.
Skin looks good but seems like a little jaundice is setting in. Normal. Mom said this must be his "day at the beach!" He had on foam glasses and ear muffs. Glasses to protect from the 2 lights he was under and the muffs because the noise in the room seems to be aggitating him.
Wasn't able to see him open his eyes today. Don't know why this is so important to me but it is.
Final visit with him tonight was unsettling. Alarms kept going off. Nurse identified 2 air bubbles in one of the lines and it took a few minutes to get them out. Sometimes a loose connection on the tubes can cause alarms as well. Aiden was commanding attention.
Mom and dad had to leave after the alarms stopped. A little too much for them to handle. Disheartening. Scary.
Aiden is still fighting. Overall, no change today.
Dad yelled in his sleep last night and scared the heck out of mom. 4 or 5 times in 15minutes. Yelling as if in pain. Dad has no memory of this. Probably just over tired. Would like to think dad was absorbing pain for Aiden and giving him strength. Who knows?
Will post more pics & maybe a video clip in a seperate post then have to work on a college paper due tonight.
